Connect the Xbox 360 Controller to your Mac. Now you’ve installed the driver, the next step is to connect the controller, which is simple and only needs to be done once. Firstly, you need to plug the USB receiver into a free USB port on your Mac. Once plugged in, the USB receiver’s light should start blinking. So I would like to use my macbook pro as a monitor for my Xbox One (just for certain occasions) and I have the white HDMI adapter, so I figured all I would have to do is pull the HDMI out of my TV. On your Mac, go to System Preferences Bluetooth. You’ll find a list of nearby devices to connect to, including one called Xbox wireless controller. Click on the Connect button to the right of that device name. Your controller should now be paired with your Mac! Choose a small video to test for you first video, as encoding and conversion times can be lengthy if you choose a full movie. Try downloading a trailer for a movie in your favorite format that the Xbox 360 can't read. Like: AVI, MOV, and a lot of other weird formats.

Install and open up Video Converter for Mac. Video Converter for Mac is a phenomenal video conversion tool, it can convert video formats from one to another with perfect output quality and high conversion speed for Mac OS X users. It supports all popular video formats including MP4, M4V, flv, AVI, MOV, MPEG1/MPEG2, 3GP, 3G2, M2TS, MPEG TS/TP (for HD Video), etc.

In the format list, choose MP4 as the output video format. You can choose Xbox 360 as the output format.

At the bottom right, click on the 'Converter' button. Then wait… once you get the delightful 'ding' then you are ready to go to test to see if it worked.

2connect your Mac and Xbox 360

Before you start configuring, open up Terminal (in Applications -> Utilities) and type 'ifconfig en0' (zero, not a capital-o). You're looking for the bit that says 'inet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx'. Second, note down the IP address of your wireless router.

On your Mac

1. Connect your Mac to your wireless Internet connection
2. Connect your Xbox 360 to your Mac via Ethernet
3. In System Preferences, choose Sharing, enable your Internet Sharing between your Airport and Ethernet connection

On your Xbox 360

1. Start up your Xbox and navigate to the Network settings menu
2. Under IP address, enter the number you got from the 'ifconfig en0' command earlier on, but with the final number one place higher.
3. Input subnet.
4. Under router/gateway, enter the number you got earlier from the 'ifconfig en0' command.
5. Move onto DNS. Enter the IP address of your wireless router in both the primary and secondary IP address fields
6. Leave PPPoE and Advanced settings blank (i.e. OFF and Automatic)
7. You should now be able to connect to Xbox Live via your Internet sharing Mac

3Play Video File on Xbox 360:

First, on your Mac, open up your new file in VLC and in Quicktime. Make sure it can play in both (Not necessarily at the same time). If you have done that, now it is time to move to your 360. Follow these instructions:

Tun on your Xbox 360

Navigate over to the 'Media Tab', and select the 'Videos' option.

IMPORTANT! Since the Xbox 360 Dashboard update of about 6 months ago, once you click on'Videos' it will just show you all of the videos on your Xbox 360 hard drive. So press 'X' to change the current source. Then browse down to your Apple / Mac computer. Mine is an iMac.

Click on the 'Movies Folder'. That is where you should have saved the file there earlier.

Now browse through your video files and select your sweet, newly converted video file, and play it!

Watch and Enjoy! Nothing like watching the TMNT trailer in all of its Hi-Definition glory!

You're Done! You did it! Now you can follow that same process when play any video from Mac to Xbox 360 .

The Xbox app for iOS has been completely redesigned, and it brings some important new features, including the long-awaited Remote Play mode. iPhone and iPad users who also own an Xbox One can now play Xbox games right on their iOS devices via streaming.

As noted by The Verge, the Remote Play feature requires an Xbox One to work as it runs the game on the console and then streams it to the Xbox app on iOS and Android — so this is basically similar to the PS4 Remote Play app available for PlayStation 4.

Users can keep Xbox One connected at home and then stream the games on iPhone or iPad via Wi-Fi, LTE, and even 5G if you already have an iPhone 12. Microsoft also promises that the new Xbox app is faster and more intuitive compared to the previous version of the app.

Microsoft has no official plans to bring the xCloud platform to the iOS, which enables standalone gaming streaming through the web without an Xbox console. Apple forces game streaming platforms to run through Safari, which makes it difficult for projects like xCloud to operate on iOS.
